Love is the fundamental currency of life.
Every year, as the calendar flips over, I take a pause to ask myself, ‘how can I be a better person next year’. I choose an attribute that I am seeking to unleash and then, I consistently work on myself to find ways to grow. I think the sheer act of becoming aware acts as a catalyst to expand the love within.
The New Year has become a symbol of new beginnings. What truly makes any beginning meaningful is not the date, but the awareness it awakens within us. This moment, this breath, this choice marks the promise of transformation. The world may be noisily celebrating and flashing lights, but beneath all that is an invitation for quiet reflection, renewal, and reconnection with the things that count.
Co-existence or interdependence is a reality. Fear of aloneness and rejection dominated my life for many years till I realised that aloneness is an illusion of the ego. The ego thrives on its assertion of individuality and keeps fighting for survival till it gets fatigued of surviving and transcends to embrace love within.
Everything in life is a relationship - with our inner self, breath, body, people or the world at large. The more we embrace the interconnectedness and oneness of life, the more we can serve with compassion to make a difference in the world.
In times of uncertainty, it is love that gives us the courage to take leaps of faith. Often, I remind people that love is not something we need to earn. It is our natural state of being. We simply need to open our hearts to give.
When we embrace ourselves fully, love just flows in the way we speak, listen, and act. Our presence becomes a transformative experience for others. An energy field of positivity and kindness gets created. Thus, we can form deeper connections with others and foster a true sense of belonging and community.
Self realization is being present to our truth as Sat Chit Ananda. This state of being is possible for all because the play of life is designed for us to transform and find our happiness. By living with awareness of our thoughts and emotions, we can gradually recognise the ego that veils consciousness and realize our truth.
When we pause, we begin to observe just how often we rush through life seeking happiness in achievements, relationships, or recognition. Slowing down and consistently imbibing practices that anchor us internally, help to develop the courage and clarity to live authentically. As we shed the layers of falsehood, we start experiencing the peace and joy within us. Peace does not mean life is perfect; it means we respond with presence instead of reacting out of fear or habit.
When we realize that everything is a manifestation of consciousness, all barriers dissolve and we feel grateful for the magical play of life force energy. Gratitude shifts our lens from scarcity to abundance and from wanting to giving. It moves us to acknowledge and appreciate the marvels of the universe.
Every sunrise, every manifestation and every relationship becomes a catalyst for expanding love. Challenges become a blessing to expand, create and grow. The ensuing pain nudges us to be vulnerable and anchor deeper within. The resilience and compassion supports us to navigate life with grace and humility.
Renewal is not about doing more; it's about going home to our essence as pure love. When we approach the New Year as an opportunity to realign ourselves with our truth, we experience the sparkle and zing of life again. The noise outside fades and the authentic voice within becomes louder. The emerging clarity opens the heart to take bigger leaps of faith.
May 2026 be a year filled with faith and joy. May each day invite more love and laughter.
